President Obama Nobel Peace Prize Acceptance Speech Transcript
President Barack Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize today and was received with a lukewarm reception from most in the media.
Obama said in his speech that he did not deserve the award and that, while he was humbled, he would treat it as a “call to action.” Both liberal and conservative bloggers and columnists have bashed Obama on the subject of peace. Liberals have cited his continuation of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, while conservatives have attacked his support for abortion and pull out of a planned missile defense system in eastern Europe.
