Miguel Cabrera, the man whose team will be playing a one-game playoff against the Minnesota Twins for a spot in the 2009 MLB playoffs was taken into custody by police recently for a spat with his wife Rosangel Cabrera.

According to the police report, which you can read in full below, Cabrera met police officers at the door, showing visible scratches and cuts that looked fresh, when they responded to a domestic disturbance call at his house. Police reported that both parties — Miguel and Rosangel Cabrera appeared to be aggressors in the case, so no domestic violence charges were filed.

To add insult to injury Cabrera was reportedly out drinking — until 6 am, no less — with players from the Chicago White Sox, the team he was set to play against the next day.
