In what seems like an effort to save salary cap space, the Phoenix Suns have traded 2009 All-Star (and 14 time all-star) Shaquille O’Neal to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Ben Wallace, Sahsa Pavlovic, a second round draft pick and some cash.

This move looks to set the Cavs up with a great shot at competing for an NBA title next year and once again pairs Shaq with one of the NBA’s most outstanding young players. O’Neal has already won titles with Kobe Bryant in LA and Dwayne Wade with Miami.

Potential new nicknames for Shaq in Cleveland are the the Big Unemployment, the Big Closed-Down Factory, the Big Welfare Check and the Biggest Thing in Cleveland Ever. No word yet on how long Shaq’s wife has been locked in a bathroom crying or whether or not Shaq will even touch Cleveland when he’s not on the court. That was mean. I’m sorry Cleveland.
