Obama’s Bracket
In an effort to show the American people that it’s not all doom and gloom, President Barack Obama filled out his 2009 NCAA National Championship bracket. Obama’s bracket has the University of North Carolina winning the national championship and has Memphis, Louisville and Pittsburgh completing his Final Four.
To critique the President’s bracket, I must say that he didn’t really make too much of a reach with his predictions. Obama has said on multiple occasions that he’s a huge sports fan, but his picks are pretty by-the-book. I also can’t understand how a purported sports fan can think that UNC has a chance this year.
I’ve got Louisville winning it all this year in my bracket, and if you look at the bracket (embedded below) you’ll see that Obama had a bit of trepidation in picking UNC to beat them. He actually wrote in Louisville — twice! — but changed his mind and went with UNC. Obviously Obama is taking this March Madness seriously.
