Senate Bailout Bill
The Senate Bailout Bill has been released for public review, just hours before the vote is to be taken on Capitol Hill. After a defeat of the original proposal in the House of Representatives, the Senate has made some changes to the bill and attached it to previously pending legislation. Included in the changes is the authority for the FDIC to insure up to $250,000 worth of investor’s money in member banks. The vote is set for 7:00 p.m. today, with debate beginning at 5:00 p.m. (EST).
