Evan Tanner is no more. The ex-MMA champion was consumed by his thirst for adventure. Tanner, 37, had embarked on a camping trip some time around Sept. 2 into the desert-like region north of Brawley, Calif., approximately two and a half hours east of San Diego. His body was found on Monday in a region where the temperatures has soared to 114. Tanner had a background in wrestling, he won the very first MMA competition he entered by defeating three contenders in a night; and he had entered the competition for a lark. Evan had problems with alcoholism but he was an erudite guy whose MySpace blog was eminently popular.
