The Da Vinci Code single handedly revived interest in the Roman Catholic Church and the Church found quite a few defenders for itself after the controversial book presented several “facts” that cast serious doubts over the foundation on which the Church stands. The protagonist Robert Langdon unearths a battle between the Priory of Sion and Opus Dei over the possibility of Jesus having been married to and fathering children with Mary Magdalene.

People were once again interested in the legend of the Holy Grail, that mystical chalice that the Knights went searching for. If you haven’t read the book, do read it, it’s worth one read for a lot of us.
