Miss Sister 2008 is a beauty contest for nuns that is planned to take place near Naples, Italy, in September 2008. Father Antonio Rungi, the organizer of the event, intends to launch the first stage of the pageant on the Internet, by publishing the photos of the contestants on his blog. He hopes that the event would evolve into a full-fledged competition, similar to the annual Miss Italy. The nuns would be allowed to let their hair loose for the photo shoot, but there will not be a bathing suit competition. More than a thousand nuns are expected to participate. The participants must be aged between 18 and 40.
