Korea Development Bank (KDB) is a wholly state-owned bank that was founded in 1954 with the express purpose of helping Korean industry gain finance and thereby hastening industrial growth.
The bank has, over the years, contributed massively to the Korean economy. The bank’s vision is to become the number one bank in Asia by 2011. The KDB offers four key financial services that include corporate banking, investment banking, international banking, corporate restructuring and consulting.
By 2011, KDB plans to strengthen its financial position by attaining a total equity of 15 trillion Won, an ROE of 18%, and an NPL ratio of less than 1%.
