U.S. Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones, a Democrat who is the first black woman to represent Ohio in Congress, has suffered a serious stroke, but she is still alive. Earlier news reports said she had died, but she is in critical condition at Huron Hospital in East Cleveland.
