The great comedian Bernie Mac died on Saturday August 9th 2008. Just as expected, hundreds of comedian friends gathered to pay their respects, and celebrate his life. As friends and family gathered around the Bernie Mac casket, other comedians were in attendance such as Cedric the entertainer, Chris Rock, Steve Harvey, and D.L. Hughley. Bernie Mac’s memorial service was held at House of Hope in Chicago on Saturday, August 16, 2008. Bernie Mac’s real name is Bernard Jeffrey MCCullough.
